Valentines Day Cookie Outreach

Well I know it's a little late because valentines day just passed, but I just joined the website, so I'd thought I could offer some ideas that worked at our school =]

We just started a christian club at my school two years ago and we've made it a tradition on valentines each year to make 1,000 cookies and hand them out for free (before/after school or at lunch) as an act of love.

Kids are like, "What's the catch?", "Do I have to go to christian club or say a pray?"

And we just say, "Not at all, we would just like to show our appreciation to our school. Happy Valentines Day!"

Some may say, all that work for just so one kid can have a cookie? kinda pointless..

BUT Very Happy

think of the kid who walks around school thinking, "wow, I have no friends in this school. I went though the entire day, and not one kid smiled or even looked at me."

that kid will remember something as little as a cookie!

oh! and it was really cheap for us! it's probably a lot easier if your school has a kitchen to work in so you can cook the cookies in bulk so its cheaper. our bill only came to $50.00, PRAISE God!

Dude, that sounds awesome. I've always just wanted to carry around a bunch of candy in my backpack or something and like randomly pass it out to people...they'd probably think I was like a stalker or something and suddenly have flashbacks to their mom telling them as a kid "never take candy from strangers!" so yeah... awesome ourtreach

I just want to say that outreach sounds like an awesome blessing!

That is a wonderful idea, 1,000 cookies!?!? I just can't imaging the impact that it left on those students. Way to go!

I pray God continues to inspire you, and the members of your Campus Club to be able to win your campus! LORD I thank You for these willing students to take time to share Your love, and hope. May those cookies be so much more than a "sweet tooth satisfaction" but may You use them to spread Your glory. AMEN!

that's true, but hilarious about the candy lol

I only have 53 more school days until I graduate (and yes, I'm counting tongue

) and I'm hoping that Jesus will use me and the christian club to impact our school like never before! so if anyone has any more outreach ideas for Easter or anything random, please let me know, thanks!
